About Me
Hi! Welcome to Learning to Navigate Through My Social-Emotional World! My name is Ryann Mojica, and I’m the author of this interactive social-emotional journal.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California, alongside my three sisters and two amazing parents. My very first job was working as a receptionist at a children’s hair salon—and from that moment on, I knew my heart belonged in working with kids.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles that center around children and education: preschool and kindergarten teacher, ABA therapist, assistant behavior analyst, and academic advisor in higher education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences, and a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. My passion has always been rooted in supporting children—especially those with disabilities—and helping them grow in environments that are safe, loving, and empowering.
I created this book with the hope of equipping the next generation with the tools they need to become socially and emotionally intelligent. I want children to feel safe expressing their feelings, to treat others with kindness and empathy, and to fully love themselves just as they are. My dream is that this journal helps them build a world around them that’s full of love, compassion, and connection—and that they always feel deeply valued and seen by the people in their lives.
Thank you for choosing this journal to be a part of your child’s or students’ journey. I’m incredibly honored that you’ve entrusted me to be a small part of their upbringing.
With love,
Ryann Mojica
